Modern cataract surgery has transformed dramatically over the past decade. It now incorporates refined techniques and equipment that can greatly improve patient safety and accuracy.
Dr Jamell has been performing cataract surgery since 1994, and he utilizes the modern “no-stitch” technique as well as offering the latest in lens implant technology. We now have lenses available that can reduce a patient’s need for glasses after surgery. These implants can often correct near-sightedness as well as far-sightedness and astigmatism. Which implant a patient chooses is a very individualized decision. We take the time to educate patients and try to answer all their questions ahead of time so that they can go into surgery with the highest confidence possible. The surgery is performed as an outpatient procedure in a modern surgical facility, and patients are often able to resume many activities the next day.
