Ocular Diseases

There are many common eye diseases such as Glaucoma and Dry Eye Syndrome that we diagnose on a daily basis. These conditions may manifest with symptoms such as eye irritation or redness, or they may have no symptoms and can only be detected with examination and testing.

Glaucoma is a particularly important disease to test for as it may occur without any symptoms. It is a disease of the optic nerve which carries visual information to the brain. Over time, it can result in loss of vision and even blindness in rare circumstances. Loss of sight can often be prevented with early diagnosis and treatment with medication or surgery.

Regular eye care goes well beyond glasses and contacts, and we pride ourselves on being available for medical conditions that often arise.
